L’azienda, nel confermare quanto scritto nella lettera di apertura della procedura dimobilità, legge 223/91, ha ribadito la volontà strategica di accentrare l’attività di The NorthFace presso l’headquarter di Lugano in Svizzera, e conseguentemente di chiudere il sito di Pederobba.
La decisione, presa da VF Corporation, si inquadra nella strategia generaledell’impresa che intende concentrare in due sedi (Bornem in Belgio e Lugano in Svizzera) le proprie attività per EMEA.Per mettere in atto questa strategia l’azienda intenderebbe trasferire una parte delpersonale a Lugano.
Le R.S.A. e le OO.SS. hanno chiesto all’impresa, a nome e per conto dei lavoratori, dirivedere la decisione presa, anche a fronte della positiva esperienza maturata dalla stessaall’interno del distretto industriale dello Sport System.
Il trasferimento poi metterebbe in difficoltà molte persone e molte famiglie, che sononell’impossibilità di accettarlo, mentre diventa un ulteriore problema sociale il depauperamento del territorio trevigiano con la perdita di professionalità, di idee e di ricerca.
D’altra parte, un’azienda con la solidità che ha dimostrato The North Face a Pederobba, haattirato molti lavoratori, anche dall’estero, che hanno contribuito a creare l’alto valoredell’impresa.
Ci siamo dati appuntamento ad un successivo incontro dove l’azienda darà le risposterispetto alla richiesta sindacale.
Nel frattempo le stesse OO.SS. hanno intenzione dicoinvolgere le Istituzioni della Provincia e della Regione Veneto, nonché il Ministero delLavoro, affinché siano parte attiva nella vertenza.
L’assemblea dei lavoratori, effettuata successivamente all’incontro per informare i dipendenti sull’andamento della trattativa ha riaffermato la priorità di mantenere attiva la sede di The North Face a Pederobba, dando pertanto mandato alle R.S.A. e alle OO.SS. di procedere in tal modo.

This morning was held the first meeting between The North Face Italy S.r.l., represented by the HR Vice President, Monica Valseschini and Studio Arlati Ghislandi of Milan, and Luisa Buranel of Filcams Cgil, Mirco Ceotto of Fisascat Cisl and Massimo Marchetti of Uiltucs Uil together with their respective labor union representatives Juliana Bernhofer, Silvia Lazzarin, Tamara Boscolo, Massimo Buzzo, Claudia Carafiglia and Lucio Tocchetto.
The company confirms what was written in the opening letter of the labor mobility procedure, in accordance with law 223/91, repeating the strategic decision to centralize the activities of The North Face at the headquarter located in Lugano (Switzerland) and as a consequence to close the Pederobba offices. The decision was taken by VF Corporation and is part of a general corporate strategy that aims to concentrate their activities in the EMEA market within two main headquarters, Bornem in Belgium and Lugano in
Switzerland.
In order to realize this strategy, the company has the intent to transfer part of the staff to Lugano.
The R.S.A. (employee representatives) and the OO.SS (labor unionists) asked to the company, on behalf of the employees, to revise their decision considering also the positive experience gathered operating within the local Sport system industrial district.
The move would create difficulties to a lot of people and employees that do not have the possibility to accept an eventual offer, besides creating a social problem due to the depauperation of the Treviso area in terms of professionalism, ideas and research.
On the other hand, a company such as the North Face in Pederobba, that has always shown stability and growth, has attracted a lot of employees also from abroad that contributed to the high value of the business.
We agreed on the following meeting where the company will come back with the answers to the request of the labor unions. In the meantime, the OO.SS. will do their best to involve the political institutions, on a provincial and a regional level, as well as the Ministry of Labor, in order to make them part of the labor dispute.
The employees’ were informed on the outcome of these first negotiations in the evening nd the will to keep the offices of The North Face in Pederobba active was reconfirmed, gving though to the RSA and the OO.SS. the task to proceed in this direction.
